Gary Reiner is an operating partner at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm with over 79 billion dollars of assets under management. He sits on the board of portfolio companies Atera, Zoomin, JumpCloud and more.
He is the former Chief Information Officer at General Electric, where he spent nearly 20 years. During his time at GE, Gary spearheaded the use of SaaS applications to modernize business processes.
Gary joined GE in 1991 as Vice President of Corporate Business Development where he was responsible for evaluating new business ideas and acquisitions, strategic planning, company-wide sourcing, and driving best practices throughout the business. In 1996, he was made SVP and CIO, leading the company's Six Sigma Quality initiative, driving process implementation and program execution across all GE businesses. He joined General Atlantic in 2010.
Before joining GE, Gary spent time at Boston Consulting Group as a partner.
